The trading floor is a unique market-learning environment where students can acquire market experience and insights on the premises of McMaster University. The GTF offers desirable opportunities for students who would like to pursue a career in the financial services industry. It is a teaching and research tool that serves students and faculty alike, and brings significant benefits to Canada's financial markets and the community at large

Funding for the building was provided in part by a generous donation from the AIC Group of Funds.  AIC Limited is Canada’s largest privately owned mutual fund company.
